MEET THE ARTIST
JAMAL ALYOUSIF
Jamal AlYousif is a Bahrain-based sculptor working primarily with glass and metal. His practice explores the dialogue between material, light, and form, with a particular focus on spatial integration and site-responsive works for public, institutional, and architectural contexts.
Working across both small and large scales, AlYousif develops sculptures and installations that engage with their surroundings—whether as freestanding works, wall-mounted pieces, or integrated architectural elements. His process is material-led and often developed through close collaboration with architects, designers, and commissioning teams from concept development through fabrication and installation.
He has exhibited widely in the Middle East and internationally, including institutional exhibitions in Washington, D.C., and has completed permanent public commissions in Bahrain. His work is held in institutional and private collections across the Gulf region and the United States.
