Waves
Project type
Cast-glass wall installation
Date
July 2026
Location
Bahrain
Waves is a site-specific installation of four cast-glass wall pieces, created for the reception of a leading financial group's headquarters in Bahrain.
Each disc is individually kiln-cast, its surface folding into ridges and hollows that recall water in motion, a swell, a ripple, the pull of a current held still. No two are alike; the forms shift in size and gesture across the group, so the eye travels along them the way it follows a wave breaking down a shoreline.
Set against a warm walnut wall, the green-tinted glass catches and bends the light throughout the day, casting soft caustics and quiet reflections that keep the work in continual, subtle change. The result is a piece that is at once architectural and alive, monumental in presence yet delicate in the way it holds light.
The work continues my ongoing Waves series, an exploration of glass as a medium for capturing fluidity and stillness in a single, permanent gesture.
